NextWave Broadcasting Network invites independent artists, songwriters and working bands to submit original music for programming consideration across our family of digital radio stations. If your song fits a station and meets our requirements, our programming team wants to hear it.
NextWave’s emerging-artist program is designed to discover original music and introduce listeners to artists behind the songs. The programming team considers musical fit, originality, broadcast quality, artist activity and the materials supplied with the submission.
The submitted work must be original. You must own or control the rights needed to authorize the sound recording and composition for the requested promotional broadcast use.
NextWave currently prioritizes working and touring artists. Include recent or upcoming venues, concerts, festivals or touring dates and supporting links where available.
A strong song still needs the right home. The programming team determines whether the music fits the format, sound and audience of a requested NextWave station.
A complete submission gives the programming team a better picture of the music, the artist behind it and whether the song is ready for consideration.
Submit a clean recording suitable for radio review. An optional radio edit can also be supplied where appropriate.
Provide recent or upcoming venues, festival dates, event links, performance proof and a live-performance video when available.
Include your biography, song description, songwriter information, genre, release date, album or EP details and relevant identifiers if available.
Have an artist photo, logo and single or album artwork ready so an approved feature can properly introduce you to listeners.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Bandcamp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and your official site help the team learn more about your music and audience.
You must certify that the work is original and that you or your authorized representative can grant the permissions contained in the submission agreement.
Artists select a primary station in the submission form and can authorize NextWave to consider the song for other compatible stations. Final programming decisions remain with the station team.
